The digital age is characterized by ever shorter planning cycles. Modern innovation methods are taking up this change by making radical collaboration, strategy sprints and customer-oriented developments even more essential.
Instead of long-term planning, the focus lies on the efficient use of existing resources inside and outside the organizations with the help of digital technologies.
This kind of leadership requires a new understanding of planning and action: Business Improvisation. Improvisation means reacting adequately to unpredictable situations and efficiently implementing short-term actions. To do so, it requires an agile mindset. Based on the findings in jazz and improvisation theater ensembles, these methods and techniques can be learned to foster a collaborative leadership style.
