Advatera offers knowledge sharing for marketing, communication and digital managers of medium and large organisations in the form of workshops, knowledge-sharing meetings and conferences.

We only address business customers and, where possible, process data on business customers only. Inquiries from private customers will be deleted after processing the enquiry, as we do not have an offer for private customers.

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with GDPR and Austrian legislation. Advatera has taken numerous technical and organisational measures to ensure the protection of the personal data processed by us. You can find our contact details here.

How we get in touch with you

We work exclusively with business customers and therefore only business contact data is relevant for us.

For this purpose, we collect data such as your name, company name, contact data, e-mail addresses and telephone numbers as well as job role and company address after receiving your consent or on another legal basis like legitimate interest in our contact database. Likewise, communications with you, especially e-mails, are stored on our mail server and the contact database, especially if you contact us. We do not process sensitive data (ethnic origin, political opinions, genetic and biometric data, …).

When we contact you, we segment based on your job profile and the areas of interest derived from it and your professional geographical location, as well as on past attendance at our events and meetings.

How do we use this data?

  • We will inform you when a knowledge sharing meeting or an event related to your job role takes place in your region or based on your areas of interest.
  • We value your expertise. We will occasionally enquire you as a guest speaker.
  • We send out articles, studies and news as well as information about our offers.
  • We will answer your questions and inquiries.
  • We manage registrations and cancellations for our meetings and conferences.

We collect, process and use personal data to the extent necessary to enable you to make use of our services if you give us your consent, or if we have a contractual basis and the data is necessary to fulfil our product or if we can justify a legitimate interest in processing the data. All personal data will be stored for as long as necessary for the stated purpose. Tax and legal retention periods are taken into account.

You may revoke your consent at any time and ask us to delete your personal data. The easiest way is to send us an email to privacy@advatera.com. Further information on information rights can also be found below.

Website

The use of our website is possible without giving us any personal data. However, if you wish to use special services, such as our online community my.advatera.com or an event registration or a enquiry form, personal data processing may be required. If the processing of personal data is necessary and there is no legal basis for such processing, we will seek the consent of the data subject.

Server Data

By visiting our website, anonymous information about access (date, time, page viewed) may be stored on the server. Also data including used browser types, operating systems, the website from which you were referred to our site, an Internet protocol address and other similar data are stored in log files. This data is used for technical analysis in the event of maintenance work and also to avert any hazards in the event of attacks on our systems. When using this data, we do not draw any conclusions about the person concerned. The data is used statistically and for the reasons of data security.

A passing on to third parties, for commercial or non-commercial purposes, does not take place.

Essential third-party tools

For accepting payments, we use Stripe as a payment service provider. The payment data is transmitted via a secure connection (https). We receive basic payment information from the payment service provider, like the type of credit card or payment service you used, your name, payment details including date and security information such as your IP address. We do not have access to your full credit card number or any security codes.

Performance and analytics

We have integrated Google Analytics with anonymisation function on our websites. Google Analytics is a web analytics service. Web analysis is the gathering, collection and evaluation of data on the behaviour of visitors of websites. Google Analytics is mainly used to optimize a website and for cost-benefit analysis of web advertising. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this analytics data and track user behaviour. Deactivating cookies in your browser or not accepting non-essential cookies will disable this feature.

Marketing

We have also integrated Google re-marketing and AdRoll (NextRoll) re-marketing, two services that allow us to display advertisements to internet users who have previously visited our website. This is done anonymously, we have no link to personal data and do not know who has visited our website. Google Remarketing and AdRoll Remarketing work via cookies like described above. You may deactivate cookies in your browser or decline non-essential cookies on our website to avoid these marketing ads.

We have occasionally integrated videos from YouTube. A connection with YouTube is only established when the video is clicked on and started.

If you want a call or meeting with us, we might point you to Microsoft Bookings, a service offered by Microsoft that shows you, when Advatera staff is available and lets you directly book an appointment.

my.advatera.com is our extranet for marketing, communication and digital management. Here you can share your experiences with colleagues from similar job roles and different companies and organisations.

By registering on my.advatera.com, your name and business will also be accessible to other members on my.advatera.com. In your profile settings you can decide yourself which additional data will be stored and shared. This voluntary data helps in the exchange of experiences and contains information about your expertise and your job. You can change, delete or even set who has access to this information in your profile at any time. If you participate in an exchange of experiences meetings, your name, organisation and e-mail address will be included on the list of participants. With your consent, this can also be accessed by other participants of my.advatera.com. Please read our separate privacy policy, which you will find when you register at my.advatera.com.

When you register and access my.advatera.com, the IP address, date and time of registration are also stored. This data is stored in order to prevent misuse of our services.

Newsletter and Emails

On our website you will be given the opportunity to subscribe to recieve information on a regular basis. Please provide us with your contact details, in particular your e-mail address, your name, place of residence, employer and your job role. We will then inform you at regular intervals, usually once a month at the most, about our services and also about interesting topics from the marketing, digital and communications fields. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link which you will find at the end of the email.

In some cases we only send newsletters to selected target groups, for example according to geographical criteria or the interests derived from your job role or specified by you.

These emails might contain a pixel tag and links with an individual code that allows us to track how often the email has been opened and links clicked. You can of course revoke your agreement to receive these emails and to measure the opening rates at any time. On the one hand, we offer an unsubscribe link in most of our e-mails, even in individually formulated ones, and you can also unsubscribe at any time by sending an e-mail to privacy@advatera.com

Disclosure of Data

Advatera does not sell or rent personal data to third parties for advertising purposes.

In the normal course of business, contractors may have access to personal data. A processor is a natural or legal person, authority, institution or other body that processes personal data on our behalf. This is for example our internet service provider based in Germany, which provides the servers for our website, or our external accounting and tax consultancy, which supports us in accounting and tax matters. Contractors must ensure data protection-compliant processing and may of course only use the data to fulfil the purpose agreed with us.

In the event of a restructuring, merger, sale, joint venture, a transfer or sale of part or all of our business or our assets, including in connection with insolvency or similar proceedings, the data may be passed on to third parties who enter into the rights and obligations of the data protection declaration and contractual agreements.

Information, Deletion and Correction of Personal Data

We will inform you on your request at any time whether and which of your personal data is processed by us. You can also find out where your data is stored, i.e. which service providers we use to make our services available. Of course you can also request a deletion of your data at any time, if we are not obliged by law to keep it for a certain period of time. Please contact privacy@advatera.com for this. Information or deletion can only take place if we can clearly identify you as the person concerned, for which your assistance may be necessary. Of course you also have the right to have your data corrected if you wish so.

We process and store personal data for the period necessary to achieve the storage purpose or as long as this is provided for by European directives or another legislator to which we are subject. If the purpose of storage or specified deadlines no longer apply, we endeavour delete personal data in a timely manner.
